CALL FOR WORKS IN PROGRESS

Works in Progress showcases the best upcoming Nordic feature films in production or post-production. The event takes place during New Nordic Films in Haugesund. In the audience, you'll find festival programmers, sales agents, distributors, and other film professionals.

SUBMIT YOUR WORK IN PROGRESS HERE by June 15th, 2026

Eligible applicants

All production companies based in the Nordic countries or co-producing with the Nordic countries are eligible to apply.

Project criteria:

• Full-length feature film suitable for international distribution
• Film in post-production or currently shooting
• Produced or co-produced in a Nordic country

Project submission must contain:

• Completed online submission form 
• Link to film in progress (if available) or selected scenes needs to be included in the submission form

Selected WIP-projects will receive: 

• Opportunity to present WIP amongst leading industry figures and fellow filmmakers

• Description of the film and the filmmakers in New Nordic Films' catalog and website

• Free accreditation for New Nordic Films and The Norwegian International Film Festival Haugesund. Admission to all social events and gatherings at New Nordic Films.

• Accommodation and breakfast for for 1 person (producer or director) for 2 nights during New Nordic Films.
