De nominerte til årets Nordisk Råds filmpris offentliggjøres 24. august klokken 12:00 og presenteres under åpningen av New Nordic Films på Den norske filmfestivalen i Haugesund 25. august. Prisen deles årlig ut til en kunstnerisk betydningsfull, nordisk-produsert spillefilm i full lengde med distribusjon. Filmen skal ha hatt premiere mellom 1. juli 2025 og 30. juni 2026. Prisen på DKK 300 000 deles likt mellom manusforfatter, regissør og produsent, noe som understreker hvordan film som kunstform skapes av det nære samarbeidet mellom disse tre hovedbidragsyterne.

Om Nordisk Råds filmpris

Formål

Nordisk råds priser tar sikte på å øke interessen for kultur og i samarbeid om miljøspørsmål, anerkjenne fremragende kunstneriske og miljømessige initiativer og øke profilen og synligheten av det nordiske samarbeidet.

Kriterier for nominasjon

De nominerte filmene skal ha dype røtter i nordisk kultur, være av høy kunstnerisk kvalitet, utmerke seg ved sin kunstneriske originalitet, og kombinere og løfte filmens mange elementer til et overbevisende og helhetlig kunstverk.

Nasjonal og nordisk jury

Hver nasjonale jury består av tre medlemmer oppnevnt av Nordisk Ministerråd. Medlemmene er valgt fra fremtredende skikkelser hvis arbeid forholder seg analytisk og kritisk til film.

Hver nasjonale jury har en treårig funksjonstid, og medlemmene av de nasjonale juryene for 2026 er:
